AERODYNAMIC ANALYSIS - ANOMALYA CFD PERFORMANCE The CFD test defined to the Supercar was performed on a calculus grid of 10 million tetrahedral cells, furthermore was applied an stationary flow around the anomalya's car, using a turbulence model type K-OM EGA SST, to simulate the behavior of the boundary layer near the deporting surfaces to obtain the average values of the aerodynamic coefficients

ANOMALYA CFD NUMERIC RESULTS By setting the speed between fluid and car at 150 km/h and considering both the movement of the asphalt and the rotation of the wheels, the results obtained are:
Vertical load factor (down force) C_Z = 1.15
Horizontal load factor  (resistance): C_D=0.61

AERODYNAMICS RESULTS The above results, as numbers, can be  translate into 235 Kg of downforce obtained on the straight side with the car traveling at 150 Km / h which, by virtue of the quadratic relationship with the speed, become 340 Kg of thrust downwards when the car travels at 180 Km/h. This degree of performance is due above all to the efficient configuration of the bottom, which with a rather aggressive design helps to generate a lot while paying very little in terms of resistance.

WHAT IS AERODYNAMICS? Aerodynamics is the science of moving air and its impact on solid bodies placed in the flow field as an obstacle. Being a sub-field, most of the equations from fluid dynamics apply to aerodynamics as well, including all the governing equations, turbulence, boundary layer theory, and ideal gas assumption. An aerodynamic flow field can be classified based on the following physical parameters: velocity, pressure, and temperature. Additionally, density and viscosity can be used as well although the velocity and pressure-based flow classifications are the most common

TURBULENCE GENERATED Turbulence plays a significant role in aerodynamics. Turbulence is by nature a chaotic, irregular phenomenon observed in less viscous fluids. In general, unsteady vortices appear in many sizes in the flow field and interact with each other and the solid body which usually generates them. Turbulence can be “good” when, for example, one wants to generate thinner boundary layers and “bad”, when it leads to large separations and therefore increased drag and losses.

 

COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS (CFD) is a branch of fluid mechanics that uses numerical analysis and data structures to analyze and solve problems that involve fluid flows. Computers are used to perform the calculations required to simulate the free-stream flow of the fluid, and the interaction of the fluid (liquids and gases) with surfaces defined by boundary conditions. With high-speed supercomputers, better solutions can be achieved, and are often required to solve the largest and most complex problems.

 

ANOMALYA COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS CFD is applied to a wide range of research and engineering problems in many fields of study and industries, including aerodynamics and aerospace analysis, weather simulation, natural science and environmental engineering, industrial system design and analysis, biological engineering, fluid flows and heat transfer, and engine and combustion analysis. CFD was applied to Anomalya's car to understand better the ideal and perfect force supercar design applied.
